The new look of colleen amelia
Today is an exciting day! I’m introducing the new look of Colleen Amelia, and it feels very reflective of my brand evolution and who I am today.
I often say photography found me, and for that I am grateful. Starting as a hobby and turning into a side hustle, I quickly narrowed my focus to weddings & portraits for many years. That season of my business aligned with the season of life I was in, and what I had the capacity to manage alongside a full-time corporate career. As life evolved, I found myself marrying the love of my life, leaving my corporate world behind and beginning a new chapter together with the start of our family.
This shift in lifestyle and priorities has allowed me to evolve and grow my focus to what fuels my soul. People are and always will be the reason behind my “why”. Connecting with others, capturing their visions, and learning what makes them unique is the reason I fall in love with this art over and over again. I truly believe I was put on this Earth to create and bring beauty to the world for others to enjoy, and I value all of you for supporting and encouraging me over the years.
Designing this new space was such a fun process - the best part was collaborating with the incredibly talented Heather at The Editor’s Touch to bring it all to life. I started by creating a brand vision and mood board to get my thoughts together cohesively, and from their it all started to fall into place. Heather and I talked through what I envisioned on this platform, reviewed mock up’s and blended different elements, and eventually landed on what we have today. I could not have done it without this creative partnership - bouncing ideas around and seeing someone else’s perspective of my work was so valuable when I stare at my own portfolio all day long.
Today, I am proud to share this space that reflects the Photographer I am today. I’ve always found myself capturing beauty in the mundane and magic in the ordinary. I believe that every person, every object, every space has a story to tell, and it's my purpose to help share those stories through my lens. I invite you to take a tour through my new site, exploring the new areas such as Interior Design, Branding and Families in addition to Weddings. I’m beyond excited to connect with clients old and new, let’s start dreaming up our next shoot together.
